    I do recall that, yes.

I haven't been out there since moving to AZ. Back here now, but at the coast. So it's been...like 6 years? At least?

Edited to add: I think that's Kevin McLamb in the bottom right.

I’m trying to put together a crew from work to head down there for the weekend. Unfortunately I have several employees with extremely capable rigs that are afraid of going off road :annoyed:

One TRDPRO T4R and one TRDOR T4R...

My Boss has an '18 Tacoma PRO 6MT...it'll never see anything more than a dirt road. He had to ask me how to put it in 4wd when we got some snow a few months ago  LOL

Haha that’s incredible.. in all fairness these new cars tend to hide the selector. Jeep still has the manual transfer case which I love because it’s simple and no solenoids to break. Had a blazer get stuck in 4lo one time in PA when my wife and I were up there visiting family.. that was a nightmare

Probably one of the best features in my jlur.
The fact that I can feel the mechanics of it engaging into 4hi/4low.
Unfortunately, it can be a bit tricky going into either selection as the vehicle needs to be moving 3-5 mph.

I got stuck in 4low in the driveway because it's flat and it was a nitemare getting it back into 2hi.

I’ve never had an issue with it but I’m a manual so maybe there is fewer things that have to be triggered to go in and out of 4low

    Yea. Auto here.
Seems like a bunch of people on the forums have this same issue. I worked in an out of it on the trails pretty easy on an incline.

Seems like flat surfaces are a bit difficult to engage the xfer case. Quick start guide says you need to be moving a little bit.

I'm sure being new and not worn in yet is having some effect on it as well.

Gonna head out either Tues afternoon 4-4:30 or early morning Wed for a quick little run and testing of the new suspension and to get measurements for limit strap set up and bumps if anyone wants to join.

One weekend open and huge ruts are already starting to be made. It's not hard to just drive gently over flat terrain... Love how Overland groups showcase that "leave no trace" "tread lightly" mentality.
