If the guy can't successfully navigate a single line in broad daylight *maybe* he shouldn't have a truck in the first place...

As I said, I get the why's of Verizon's action -- but the optics are very poor.

perhaps you didn't see the street light right below his bucket?
What do you think makes that light work? Telephone voltages?

Want to guess one of the leading causes of electrical shock to telephone employees when on a joint use pole??????????????

Come on, Take a wild guess. I mean I did give you a hint...………………

Fire him! because he will do something similar again...……………………….I guarantee it.

Of course I saw it. If the guy can't handle avoiding such a thing he has no business having been issued a truck.

Don't be a dick just because someone has a different opinion.

    Noty being a dick

just pointing out what most don't think about.

Many cable and telephone guys have been zapped, some falling to their deaths while on hooks, while accidently contacting a street light that was not properly grounded, but the stand the telephone cable is suspended from, is grounded 7 ways to Sunday……………

The worker makes the final connection………………………….

IS your cat worth a person life?

    I doubt it

I have the Benjamin Trail Nitro Piston in .22

Absolutely devastating on tree rats and about as loud as a hand clap.

My cat is awesome but she’s also an inside cat and doesn’t go outside so I’m not worried about it. Now, someone breaks in and hurts her, it’s on.

On the flip side, since I’m sure there’s a lot of dog fans. “IS a dog worth a persons life?”

I’ll admit, not the biggest fan of dogs, not do I trust them, and it drives me nuts when people walk around everywhere with the beasts with no leash or control over the little bastards.

    WHat about your pet pigeon?
    https://www.foxnews.com/us/florida-...on-from-power-line-with-20-foot-aluminum-pole

A Florida man died this weekend while reportedly trying to remove one of his pet pigeons from a power line by using “a 20-foot aluminum pool pole."

Elian Garcia-Rivera, 36, was electrocuted Saturday in West Palm Beach and found unresponsive near a pigeon coop on his property.

“He attempted to get a pigeon off of the power line in his backyard by using a 20-foot aluminum pool pole,” Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Teri Barbera told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Investigators say Garcia was thrown to the ground after the pole touched the power line. He was then taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As a dog owner and dog person, I've never understood why people walk around with no leash. If something bad happens and your dog decides not to listen to you, you have no way of stopping them from doing whatever they want.
