Wow , I have not wanted to post about this because nobody wants to hear about bad things about the @OVTune. We went back to the stock tune after feeling stumbling and seeing 3 to 9 misfires every time we hit the gas at low rpms in upper gears to pass or gain speed . We could get as many misfires and feel stumbling as we wanted by playing with the gas pedal .We also have heard that after 500 miles or so the misfires went away . Is this more of a learning of the tc and shifting ? We went back to the stock tune and the misfires went away ! Is there still the same increase in torque and HP with the tune ? Or does it more closely compare to the stock tune to reduce the stumbling and misfires ?
    Confused !

Thanks for sharing. I am running into this issue as well, decided to reformat an older Thinkpad I have laying around with Windows 10 just for flashing. Unfortunately the laptop's slow, and reformatting and updating is pretty slow. Will give this a go.

In my case, TC shudder was present in Stoke, somewhat got tamed in TSB. I have TC shudder on both revisions of 1.05. The difference is that last revision of 1.05 allows you to get out of TC shudder quickly.

Happy to hear there is a fix for that.
My truck have that issue with 91+ octane in any tune. With 87 octane, it's better but still feel that "pumpy road" at 1100-1200rpm uphill.

NOTE: This also happens in stock tune. Not Ovtune related

    Hallelujah.

Been dealing with this since the beginning.

Just got new tires put in at the same time as tuning and I thought it was the tires being imbalanced but I think the extra weight of the tires exacerbates the TC issue.

Despite that, I’m having the tires re-balanced as I type this.

Please add info the the first page when you get this update released. I’d hate to miss it in this thread when I blink.

thank God. My truck has done this since new. I thought it was the torque converter because it has done it on every tune including stock and tsb. Looking forward to trying it out..

This will be my first post on TW. I have been lurking for a while. I bought a sport 4x2 dclb.
I knew about the trans/eng combo going into the purchase. I think it was the best choice for me out of all the brands of small trucks. I also read a lot of this thread before hand.
I had all the complaints most all of you have had including the low rpm shudder that I still have.
At 1000 miles(im at 1287 miles now) I flashed 87 base because that's all I can do with 04B03 at the moment.
Big difference in the shifting and pedal feel/response department. Drivability is greatly improved. Because I have the shudder I tend to favor ect in town . Glad to see a fix for that coming. Anyways I wanted to thank the Ov tune crew for their efforts. I also want to thank all of you for your valuable inputs.

requesting performance tune with Less tip in please for next release.

    performance tune power is great.

tip in is hard to deal with in traffic and technical off-road. and even harder to deal with when the wife is driving. .. aka whiplash

Does this include the Shutter on the stock tune (Non Ov Tune) that consistently cuts in at 25mph when De-Accelerating (Rolling to a Complete Stop-Non Braking) and stays shuttering down to 20mph ) then disappears throughout the rest of the slowing down cycle to a stop. thanks.

I'm using the SSP (mode 2) constantly with 1.05 base 91 octane tune. It works pretty well. For speeds under 55, I use the SSP in order to stop the truck from chugging around at 1100rpms. At highway speeds of 55+ I actually flip over to D to let the OVT shift points take over. I tried running the 91 performance gear lock tune with SSP but it didn't seem to work real great together.
