Tell me about it. She can talk my ear off but whenever she needs something it’s like playing twenty questions with a dog that just saw a squirrel...

Heh. Yup. He's going through a phase where he doesn't want to eat any of his favorite foods, but can't tell us what he does want to eat.

All she wants to eat right now is chocolate and carbs. I can rarely get her to eat an actual dinner. But no, she’ll eat anything they put in front of her at daycare

I don't even get that much. I had to feed him pb&j for him to eat it.

Yeah. Last night I asked if she wanted steak. Typically loves it. Said "no thank you"...just wanted bread lol. So I said, "how about steak on a stick!". She was like YES!. Threw some steak on a chop stick. Then she ate all her beans with the chopstick...I think we are going to have a new trend here.

Last night we had pizza. It's his most absolute favorite food. He barely ate 1 piece, where he normally eats 2 (halves of one adult slice). All he wanted was his new sippy.

I’ve been there... she loves pizza but lately she turns her nose up at it. I have to cut it up and feed it to her or present it in a different way or she’s like, “nah...”

She’s all about the garlic bread and dessert right now which kills me since I’ve been low carb since early December.

Maybe try "camping" in the backyard with them. Kinda give them and you an idea of how it will go. If it don't work it would be a lot easier to just walk into the house

Exped Mega Mat is the best sleeping pad on the face of this earth, but pricey. It is more comfortable than any bed I've slept on. As for the kids, smores work pretty well or have them cook their own hot dogs on sticks with fire. Activities for them definitely help.

Hammocks will make you never want to waste the time trying to be comfortable in a tent again. I've got the same 'I did physical activities for 20 years' problems as everyone else, and backpack routinely, so have invested alot of time and money into comfortable tent solutions. It's alright. But then I tried hammocks and even my shitty $30 Amazon hammock had me waking up with no back pain whatsoever, and some of the most restful nights I've ever had. I've not turned back unless I have to. I just got a Hennessey from someone on here but haven't actually hung in it yet, will likely have its maiden voyage this weekend. At this point, most of us from this thread who routinely wheel/camp together have made the switch to hammocks. Also gives you much more versatility as far as camp locations go in our neck of the woods. Just have to find a couple trees, or 1 tree you can park your truck close to.

I love hammocks, and hang one in my front yard for lazy summer afternoons. I want a new one though, because it's a "rope" hammock and an absolute b*tch to get in and out of. I screenshotted your suggestions from the other day and I'm going to look into those.

I believe it was @Breezy who made the suggestion list- but I concur with everyone on that.

Im a fan of the hammock here too. I'm a robust gentleman and never slept good in a tent/air matress/sleeping bag. Picked up a used hammock and have never looked back. Im now on my 3rd with all the bells and whistles you really dont need. Best nights sleep camping ever. @Breezy and I went to the gorge back in feb. Slept like a log for 12 hrs. Damn owls woke me up.

I thought hammocks were for the hipster millennials who hang out in parks all day and don’t work...
