I just got a 19 sport, I had a 16 Ford Fusion before and the system was so much better, any recommendations on door speakers I could upgrade to for now?

Do a search in the Audio/Video section of this Forum as there is a great Thread for doing it on a small budget

Do you have the factory JBL system, or the normal system? (should say either JBL on the headunit, or nothing)

If you have the JBL system, its a little harder to upgrade, but still possible.

If you do not have the JBL system, the easy route is to get subaru kicker tweeters (they are plug and play in the tacoma) then some new door speakers.
If you want to get more into it by adding amps, going with a better component speaker set, then you will need to do some fabrication (easy stuff though)
You will need some speaker adapters to mount to the factory locations in the doors.

But, as the other person said, check the audio section here, there are some good lists. It all comes down to how good you want it to sound. Some are happy with "$250 upgrade" thats in that forum, others (like me) spent $1400 to upgrade to 3 way component speakers, amps, and a subwoofer. In the end, I will have nearly $2500 invested into my sound system, but it is factory looking, all hidden, and sounds great.

I did the complete Rockford Fosgate Prime component setup with plug and play adapters all from Crutchfield and tweeter adapters from Amazon. The tweeters have internal crossovers for plug and play.

Definitely rocks compared to stock. No amp needed and it all cost $125.

I did it all in about one hour
