I sold my Entune and thought IT WAS STOLEN! But now delivered!!!!

I sold my Entune Premium with the Bezel to @Sr5coma

I shipped it and it was delivered. Some bastard stole it from his porch! It was only there for 20 minutes! I HATE THAT!!!

He still wants to install the Entune Premium in his SR5. So, if anyone is looking to get rid of their Entune Premium and can hook up a TW member @Sr5coma with the best deal ever, that would be great.

I am posting this because he doesn't have enough posts to post a WTB post himself and I feel terrible that this happened to him. I know there is someone out there that would love to help out a fellow TW member.

I had an expensive camera being delivered and there was literally a guy following the fedex truck down the street. If I hadn't gone out as soon as it was there, he would have nabbed it when he came on my porch 30 seconds later.

 

Insurance only covers lost or stolen. Does nothing after its delivered...

 

Unfortunately the truth, also unfortunately not really a deterrent in high drug/homelessness/crime areas anymore.

If you're shipping by USPS, this might be a good workaround for people that can't be home during the day:

You can ship packages to (recipient name) General Delivery, and that Post Office location holds it for up to 30 days. There's a few restrictions so far as where you can use it, but, it's free and pretty safe.

 

His package probably did get stolen but also have him check with his neighbors, sometimes the delivery guys F up and drop packages at the wrong apt. or at the next door neighbors house or the wrong half of a duplex etc. Its happened to me a few times.

Package thievery is so frustrating. Does anyone know if it’s legal to send a rat trap to yourself through the mail?

 

Yeah I work on the naval base here in town so I’m out by 130 most of the neighbors work 9-5 check all there doorsteps even asked when they got home just in case and nothing. There’s always teenage kids riding bikes around from time to time you’ll get older sketchy guys riding bikes around this is the first package that’s been stolen from my door step so I never thought but it’ll def be the last.

 

My buddy actually said the same thing I thought about it for a minute but I’ve never had to worry I can only think it was just perfect timing that some low life was just passing by and happened to see them drop it off. Worst part I was going to get out out an hr early from work but lost track of time. The package was delivered at 1:19 and I was home by 1:45

There is a possibility they dropped it at the wrong house/apt. Hopefully that’s the case and it didn’t get stolen. I just had a package the other day dropped at my house by UPS. Was one of my neighbors. I just drove over to his house and left it on his door step.

Package theft is becoming a big thing. Maybe see if any of his neighbors have cameras that may have picked something up. A lot of people are starting to get cameras and for good reason. If it were me I would be exploring all possible avenues to try and find out what happened.

 

I've got somebody using my address to open credit card accounts. The best I can tell they're not using my identity, just my address. The other day I had a package on my porch that this person had ordered and either forgot to change the ship to address or didn't make it to my place in time to get it. I went to the police and the detective said no laws have been broke. What do you do?

 

I went to the neighbors around and no one one was home at the time nor do they have cameras I’m going to check the pawn shops that are close by my house the other thing is I live in a corner house so makes it a little easier for everyone so see the traffic that stops by my house. I’m hoping it will turn up but not keeping my hope to high.
