Haven’t got on the truck yet but when I do I’ll post some up. Also interested if anyone has any info on the wiring. Which wires are what at the factory plug?

I didn't snap pics of mine but I specifically saves these two pictures from someone else's previous install post on this thread. I just couldn't find the pics again in the thread to link to you.

Here are some light output pictures. They were taken in a dark area with my Galaxy Note 8 in Auto mode. Sorry, I'm not a real photographer...

Factory wires are white (neutral), green (bed light positive), and purple (brake light positive).

Wire all 5 of the neutral wires together and connect to white. Wire bed light positives together and connect to green. Wire brake light positives together and connect to purple. Test light function before applying heat shrink or bolting housing to the truck. Drink a beer.

After you get the lights installed in the housing and wired up, I recommend filling the holes / gaps with silicone. I also added a bead of silicone around the perimeter before bolting to the truck to get a good watertight seal to the cab. This may not be necessary in all cases, but cheap insurance IMO.

You’d want 3 pin as there are three wires to connect.

I got these 3 pin connectors off Amazon. Cut the OEM connector off and soldered this in its place.

Is it not possible to use the OEM wiring harness/connector to be re-wired to the KC rock lights?

nah. the female portion of the OEM connector is molded into the 3rd brake housing. as far as i know, there isn't another connector like it on the truck so sourcing something for the male portion to mate up with isn't an option. i could be wrong though.

Ahh I see. That's why @VangaSTL had bought and used a new 3 pin connector.
