I recently totaled my 06 4Runner, and purchased a 16 Tacoma TRD. I’d like to fit some 33 in tires, without having to install a lift. I’d also want to install the TRD Pro grill, as well as a new skid plate. I’m new to the Tacoma scene, and I’m open to suggestions! Thanks!

Welcome. To fit the tires you will need to cut, trim, hammer and weld some new plates for the cab mount chop. Everything else on the list just bolts on or swaps out.

And unless you go skinny skinny tires you will be hard pressed not to rub with no lift

Got the Cali-Raised TRD Pro Grill! Super happy with it.

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/faux-trd-pro-grile-pre-order

Been happy with all of their products really. Much cheaper than everything else on the market but they really don't skimp on quality. I've got their grill, two amber pods, and their rock sliders.

Any reason you want to stuff 33's? Clearance will be an issue, especially if you off road.

265/75/16's might be your best bet

If you want a OEM grille grab a pro vin off the internet go into your parts department and order one using that vin

Why 33’s? Just curious what the motive is there?

Also, first time I’ve heard someone switch to the Taco over the 4Runner. Congrats.

    Have you heard of OVTune?

    $150 for the grill?

What's wrong with it?! I was going to go mesh, but that's half the price.

I bought a TRD Pro Grill from my dealer. They were cool, gave them a VIN for a 2018 TRD Pro I saw for sale online and had in in my hands a couple days later.

31.5" is about all you can stuff in wheel well without cutting and even then you'll still need SPC adjustable uca's.

$280 with no garnish is cheaper than everything on the market? Freshmexicantaco on here sells them for $190 with garnish and they are flawless.

Thanks man. My buddy mentioned 33’s but I’m looking into other options. I haven’t heard of it, but I’ll look into it for sure.
