I use OBD Fusion (Android app) paired with a Kitbest OBD Bluetooth scanner. I not only monitor misfires but knock correction/learned values, ATF temp, Air/Fuel ratio, calculated load, and other engine vitals.

As previously stated there is no 89 tune, however I'm on 87 Performance tune but fill up with 89 octane and truck runs nice with less ignition retard compared to 87 octane as monitored with OBDfusion.

wow, I feel zero aggressive tip-in on 87P, 93P however was brutal, head jerking and
just too much but the power was so nice! Been on 87P for a few tank fulls now with no issues.

Also on 93P I had that odd dead spot around 60-70 when passing where the acceleration
just stopped for a couple seconds like the pedal went dead and then came back, that was
    some weird shit.

@OVTune Is there a status for the completion of the *Fix* that was mentioned to be released for the 04B30 issue we are having with the shifting?

    Thank you.

Posted a few pages back we are releasing it at end of month by FM update.

Note. it will not fix if you have significantly larger wheels or gears.

Been trying to find it but there is a ton of excess things coming through so its sometimes a bit tough to follow. I personally do not have either. Stock size Duratrac tires and factory gears for me. Just a K&N intake set up.

Out of curiosity, will it fix the issue for 33" tires with stock gearing?

    What qualifies as "significantly"?

I can't promise it will be resolved on 33''s but I do recommend testing the fix.

Also good news for pending orders, our cable supplier was able to come through for one more shipment, so the back order actually starts next week. Which means pending shipments won't be waiting much longer.

    Fair enough.

    Two quick follow-up questions:
    1. Now or when the fix is released, can you also briefly describe the technical issue and the changes made to address it?
    2. Will the fix be included in all future 04B30 tune files, to include the upcoming "mild tip-in" versions?

    As always, thank you!

It's the shutter / stumbling / bumpy road feeling on any tune / stock or not.

However we are not going to be releasing "fixed" stock files because then it's not really stock.

I’ve run both 87 and 91 performance and I had no issue with the tip-in. My truck is stock with the exception of 265-75-16 STMaxx tires. I’ve been wondering if my foot is that much lighter than others. Hard to believe as I’m a pretty aggressive driver. I also did not clear learned values at any time. The only real issues I noted was mild surging at low load/low rpm’s and about a 1/2 second hesitation shifting between 2nd and 3rd under WOT.

My issue is really in a pedal deadspot behavior with ECT engaged. If I take it real easy it's fine...but real easy the pedal depresses more and more and then I start to get a throttle reaction. I'm 100%stock SR5. I know each truck can have some differences but I did log this behavior with OVT once 1.05 settled in for me. Perhaps my upcoming tire purchase will temper it soon*

I am on 91P which has been great so far! I took truck in for inspection yesterday at dealership which everything was fine. Is there anything they could have done to “reset” the time or change anything such as disconnecting battery? It might be my imagination but the tip in seems a little tamer today. It never really bothered me to begin with and definitely could be my imagination or just settling in since it’s been a few hundred miles so far.

What ECU are you running? Some of us are also having the shifting issue which should be fixed by the end of the month.

after 4 weeks with 91BASE, I tried today 87base and performance...but the missing torque is very feelable. I drove the same way which I daily commute (some slightly hills). With 91 no shifting or 5th gear, and now 5th and 4th gear. That's pitty.
I will wait until Mat release the 87tune with increased torque for 04A61

I ran 87 performance. It still shifts a lot. But the power delivery is nice, Would you say there is more torque in and less shifting in 91 performance and/or base. This tune is the only thing helping me decide to keep the truck or not.
