Yeah i was hoping to be able to back out, but it was that nasty wet clay-goo goodness so it was sliding wherever it wanted.

I've thought about siping the croc tread.

Unfortunately they are almost smooth... Time for a new pair!

So I am looking at the picture in @Stig ’s post and the TV is playing “The Comancheros” with John Wayne circa 1961 showing a similiar scene. IMDB lists the film’s locations as Castle Valley, Professor Valley, Fisher Towers in Moab, Utah. I believe that must be a sign that a trip to Moab is in my near future.

Correct.. Although south Utah and Moab don't require a sign or a reason to visit imo. :D

Yup Brian did mine. Awesome guy. I dropped the gears off with him and once he was done, I drove the truck up and he swapped them out. I highly highly recommend him.

Thanks for the tags @YamaDirtrider , @w.adventures , @GoldenBrew , @JoeCOVA . Sorry I haven't been around the last couple months much. Had a close family member diagnosed with ALS and his progression has been very rapid. Kinda not felt like being on the boards much.

Yes, I have cores to build 3rd gen diffs front and rear provided you have a locker truck. I might have the non locker 8" version.

If you're ever in the Arvada area let me know- would be more than happy to meet up so you can check them out. I personally don't think they look gold at all. That's why i went with these. @CODOTUS could maybe chime in on the color.

Yea they don't look gold at all. These are the wheels I am getting too. I wanted to see them in person before I pulled the trigger. They look more like a gunmetal bronze if that makes sense.

I have always been amazed at how quickly/little water it takes to make that bentonite go to shit. You see those signs that say "roads may become impassible when wet", posted on a nice long flat stretch or nothing really serious and you think that's got to be a joke or they must be talking about something up ahead but you never see it. Then you learn.
