Agreed. Unless ovtune balances the tables between 2nd and 3rd gens.

Ov’s problem is he got burned in the past so he doesn’t trust anyone to hire them. With more people making tunes available for this platform he needs to let that go and get more help so that he can actually support all his products. I doubt it will happen but we will see.

It might happen. I know he's giving access on some level to his tuning to a shop in Calgary, AB. I'd be protective too though if I had put in a large amount of work only to see my work pirated by another tuning company almost immediately.

I’m kind of over it to be honest. He said one thing and now he has decided it is too much work. Which sucks so like why am I going to do additional mods to my truck if I can’t be guaranteed I will have a proper tune for it. My truck just kind of sits now anyway so it’s not that big of a deal I guess.

I thought he said 2019 would be solely devoted to Toyota support, yet on Facebook he's still developing Mazda and Nissan support.

All I see are promises followed by delays and excuses from that guy. I don't doubt that he's talented at what he does, but talent only goes so far.

He did. However I was afraid it was going to be the 3rd gens that would absorb all his time.

And 3rd gens suck at that. Why put so much time and energy into those junks which don't even have supercharger support yet? There is minimal horsepower to be gained by them in comparison to what we can do with ours.

This is the shit that keeps me up at night.

All right guys I need some help, I got a 2015 Tacoma Sport with a Magnuson supercharger I've had it on for less than a year and have gone through two tensioners? They both have broke after starting the vehicle up so let it warm up and then drive and less than 100 yd.
I don't drive this thing like I stole it but I do have a supercharger so I like having fun. I put a cold air intake on it which boarded the warranty on the supercharger Magnuson doesn't seem to think the cold air intake would have anything to do with the tensioner arms breaking.
unfortunately I don't have the time to go to 67 pages of this thread so I was just wondering if someone could give me some info see if they've gone through the same thing I'd really appreciate it thanks

Sounds like you don’t have the tensioner on properly. And/or the belt isn’t wrapped correctly. Double check the SC belt diagram before start up.

Even the small amount of tensioners that did break held up much longer than just start up or 100 yards running

There’s been a couple of members with several failures of the stock tensioner. To me it looks and sounds like a casting issue with them. If you replace it again, I’d go for a Roush tensioner. Do a search of this thread for Roush tensioner and you’ll find the discussion and information.

The tensioner that comes with the supercharger is prone to breakage. Most people never have a problem, but you aren’t the first to have one break.

Buy this one. It’s very stout and beefy compared to the original. You will need to transfer your old pulley over because the pulley it comes with it too big:

How do you guys think I feel? 0 support for my car. And when I say 0. I mean absolutely 0. AEM piggyback for me. If the car doesn’t like it then AEM infinity.

He’s probably just going at it from a business perspective. 3rd gens are still being produced and he has a lot of the market there. So that’s where he goes. You guys are only a select few.

Regardless what’s being produced there are wayyy more 4.0 tacomas on the road than the 3.5 tacoma.

True. So why did he sell us these tuners and Hope's if he was just going to walk away. Bad buisness technique.

I just got mine ovtuned. Aside from the little mishap I was having trouble trying to get my trucks info uploaded to the tuner initially, the rest of the process and communications went speedy and well. Just took my truck out for a spin. Went well and am happy.....
