Non union. 3-6 month job and possibly another job in the area after. Working for Starcon.

My wife is getting deployed and she’s stationed in Virginia when she gets back so I’m hoping to stay busy on the east coast until she’s land locked

Yeah, 90 is 'sit in the shade with a drink and sweat' or 'find a beach' weather.

Weather changes in an instant, lots of trees, even more bugs, and lots of lakes too. Roads are sometimes a thing, other times its more like a suspension torture test

They're why I invested in a Thermacell. I suffered one weekend of turkey season getting chewed on while trying to call a bird in, and I'd had enough

We just found those last year. They rock. We've got 3 cells in the to box.

BTW I'll probably hit up angel falls early spring if anyone want to grab a drink or dinner. I don't reach out up here as much as I should

How well do they work? I just looked them up. Seems cool.

What model did you guys get? The backpacking one that screws onto an isobutane canister seems like a neat idea given I already carry those canisters. And its wicked small..

I've got this one and it works great. Sit down, turn it on, and a few minutes later you suddenly realize that there's no bugs. One insert is usually enough for a full day of calling gobblers.

Looking at RTTs as i dont want to sleep on the ground... been looking at the bed racks, and crossbars.. most sit really high, but the kbvoodoo heavy duty crossbars allow me to keep my soft tonneau cover, and only sit 6" above the bed meaning the rtt will be just below the roof line.. I decided on the ARB simpsonIII for the price, and I like the design and that it comes with the annex for $1450...the problem is if I later decide on getting the raptor 270* awning and sides it will sit very low.. my thought was I have 6" to attach to the voodoo uprights with bolts (there's 2 holes in each plate).. I can then fabricate an upright extension on the side the raptor goes on to make it higher.. say 2ft... or whatever equals the wall length one level ground... making the awning removable. I can make some supports that hold onto the edge of the bed for additional support. The truck will be getting a 2-3" lift and 285/75/16s later on... so I will make the mount adjustable..2-3 inches.. any suggestions?
