I have had the tune since 2018 September. There has been no unlearning. I have been running 91octane since December, so i don't know if that is why.


There are some hills and mountain roads that I routinely drive on. I remember the struggle I had with the original tune. With the new tune, I still do not have to downshift out of 6th gear to get through those hills and mountains whereas I had to downshift prior to the new tune.

 

Oh ! Ok ,well I hate to rub it in but the tune is better than when you last test drove it.

 

@Mushu who was your advisor up at Vann York? I might need to make the drive up there to get this flash done. None of these goobers in the Charlotte area will do it even though I can clearly duplicate the issue for them.

Anyone is Socal want their truck tuned for free, please message OVtune! We've been trying to get a M/T truck for him to dyno for a while!

 

Besides reading through 130 pages of posts, did Toyota come out with a fix for the off idle dead spot? My Manual has no power off idle and it has been a pain dealing with.

 

Isn't @Rob Daman from that area? He's got an M/T, but not OVTuned.

 

IF someone with an M/T gets on the dyno with OVTune you will become an instant legend on TW! Don't let the Autos get all the dyno time!

In a nutshell, yes. The early lag gets reduced quite a bit.

 

Ok, I have read through this thread. I guess Im dumb or something, but this shit is confusing. I have an appointment Friday to get the recall done, and they agreed to update my ECU with the T-SB-0058-18. Is this what I need for my 2018 MT? If not, I just want to know what TSB # to tell them. Thanks for any help

Or do I need the T-SB-0062-18

 

TSB-0058-18 or TSB-0125-18 will load the same software. 62 is truly AT only.
