I saw that. It's interesting because I haven't seen it officially recommended anywhere. Also, I've looked at other setups/installs and the axle looks fine. I wonder if the aal or body lift had anything to do with it?

It all depends on if you wheel or not. Driving it around was fine but off road the rear would rub a lot. Here is a picture of the full flex, I’m also not running any bump stops.

That's how my setup is. 2003 double cab. Dakar leaves (AAL not installed). Rear wheels rub at front of flares. I haven't measured yet to figure out what size relocation plate I need.

The plate comes with 2 holes. If I remember correctly first hole moves axle back 1/2'' and second one moves it 3/4''

Who makes those plates? I searched through your thread but didn't see you mention the brand/maker.

    Time for an update.
Lately I’ve been working on a front winch bumper for my truck. I’ve done a lot of reasearch before attempting this. At this point I’ve gone there the following process, made a wood template that had to be altered a few times. Then after I was happy with the overall design I went to cutting and building the frame box that will hold the winch. Yesterday I dry fitted the winch to make sure it all fits and has enough room for the clutch lever to move around. Sure enough I have 1/8” space as planed. Next will be to build the sides. I have ordered some Baja design squadrant fog lights and will probably wait until I get them to set up the light location and hole size.
Here are some pictures of the build in progress.

Also did some service on my XRC8 winch, repacked it with new grease, swapped out the solenoid box, new ground. Still need to change out the rusty bolts but the big part of repacking grease is out of the way. Also mounted it up in the winch bumper to make sure it all fits as planed.

Looking good. I'm in the same boat but unfortunately my allpro bumper doesn't fit :(

I would definitely take you up on that. It's either hack it up or swap the radiator

I'd do the radiator swap. The v6 manual transmission radiators are shorter and hide better behind the frame.

It's weird to me that they didn't build the bumper to accommodate the auto radiator. What's under yours? I was also worried I could have overheating issues while wheeling with a smaller radiator.

My oem one got destroyed when my fan clutch pully exploded and I replaced it with a Champion Radiator Aluminum 3 core (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/champion-radiator-aluminum-3-core-swap-3-4-supercharger.543859/)
Its shorter but thicker, my truck runs cooler then with stock radiator. I think if you swapped out to oem smaller one youll run hotter.

Thanks for the link. I was trying to avoid a swap, but that might be the best option. How much did the whole swap run you and how long did it take?

EDIT: NVM on the cost, I just found your earlier post.

Not sure what they cost now but I paid about 240 for the radiator and then you'll need a new lower hose from a 89 4runner and 3 gallons of coolant.
I had to swap mine out twice since one of the radiators started leaking. First time took a whole day but mostly because I swapped out other parts too. Second time when doing just the radiator swap it took about hour and a half.

Not bad. Did you have to swap in a manual trans radiator shroud or is there a way to reuse the stock one?

I did but you can use the old one and just cut off the bottom portion.
