    I agree 01-04 look slick, but I like the old school look of the 95.5-97. Block letters on tailgate especially.

    My first on my own purchased vehicle was a 2003 Xtracab TRD with a 5 speed so I’m partial to that front grill and black fender flares.

    For sure, I still miss my 86 4Runner. For me, it seems like the early tacos are just a transition between two ideal looks, the more boxy late 80's look and the more refined, rounded look of the late model tacos. Move to the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacos and it just looks like those trucks went to the gym too much and always skipped leg day.
