Yessir. Was a good trip that weekend with #norm.

 

Being a parent is one of the best things I have ever accomplished and wouldn’t change it for anything.

 

I saw that truck around a few times before I left Elgin.

 

Looks like mid may or june ill be moving to SC

 

It's about the only good thing I've ever accomplished.

Haha I’ve got 2. Love them both equal but different if that makes any sense.

 

We're just getting out of the whole newborn phase...we made it this far, I don't want to start all over again with another

 

Mine was almost 3 weeks late had to induce and got to pick the date of birth. I'll break that trend to put his mind at ease.

Im calling BS on the “best thing” it’s just cult like parental talk so that you don’t have to suffer through parenthood alone!



Not really bashing, but to each their own! Give me death or give me freedom! Hell I can’t even handle dogs! I like them but shit, gotta feed, bath, walk, train.... Ain’t no body got time for that!!

That said... I have seen and do understand the changes someone goes through when they become a parent! 9/10 for the best because it’s no longer the selfish life style!! The “oh shit” moment I can’t buy a bumper I got up buy a car seat and diapers struggle that ultimately leads to right decisions is a blessing for some!

Yet still.... I’d rather just get the bumper! All I got to do is feed it free mud and hose it down out in the front yard! Can’t do that to a kid... for some reason it’s frowned upon!

On that note I’d be lying if I didn’t say there is a bit of envy! Honestly think I’d be a better person and make better life decisions because my life no longer belongs to me if there was a kid involved!

Guess what I’m really trying to say here is, I need to get laid first!

No, wait! What I’m really saying is damnit stop telling me how awesome it is! I’m calling BS and am now back to ordering truck stuff!

 

I 100% agree. My Sister and BIL read all those books including ones that were like worse case scenarios. Both are worry wort types so they just went crazy. They couldn't figure out how me and my daughter's mother just winged it and went day by day.

Limit the use a lot or throw them out. The only video gaming system in my house is a Leap Pad and even that is monitored and only allowed for a certain amount of time same goes with Computer and TV. Kids will find ways to play other than a screen.

 

@toysrgood best advise I can give ya is do everything in your power to not to ever become a single parent. This shit is for the birds! I've got one of the best case scenarios with it but it still is shitty and I wouldn't wish it nor like to see anyone else have to deal/go through it.

Everything else like others have said will come with time. Just remember one day at a time and gotta be able to adapt and change as different things arise other than that you got this!

 

Ours was a complete surprise and we were NOT ready as we had just bought our house 3 months earlier.

Kids are literally the best and worst things ever.

There is a lot of suffering, but when you get home after a long and stressful day at the office, seeing their smile makes all the stress disappear.

 

You don't work for the guy that owns Red Baron do you??

 

...and then 8th grade comes around...

 

You should see a doc for that cough but make sure to get a hot one, or at least a hot nurse.

That has to be rough. I got lucky this time around and found myself a keeper and neither of us is going anywhere. I can say that with utmost confidence. I am thankful that my first or her first marriages didn't result in kids.

Me being a kid with 4 parents, I understand what's it like from the kids side, and id never wish that on anyone.

I also understand sometimes shit just doesn't work. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Sometimes both.
