I like my 75s but I need a small lift in the front before I will be comfortable off road.

I’m having the same internal debate myself. I actually have these tires in the 70, and I love them, but with aggressive offset wheels it’s really begging for 75s from an aesthetic point of view. Wondering how important a matching size spare really is in the off chance that I’d have to use it. I mean, space saver spares obviously aren’t the same diameter as the tires they replace.

Put these tires though everything that west ky has to offer yesterday, on stock SR suspension. Never a problem

I’ve always sized up and like the look better (fills out the wheel well better) and have been pleased when wheeling. You will lose a little MPGs.

I went through some ruts yesterday and it rubbed pretty bad. It looks like I have the rear leaf spring tsb and a stock front so that might explain it. Plan on 5100s @ .85.

I didn't rub that bad but I don't want to for real offroad and bounce on it.

I would definitely size up to a 75 series.

I pulled the trigger on 265 70 r16s. $398 from DTD. I like the idea of going up a size, but I don’t think .5” extra clearance is going to get me anywhere stock size couldn’t.

I think most that aren't lifted will upsize for the look. I just up sized and I'm not lifted yet and I have to say it looks more aggressive and bulky. To each their own.

Fingers crossed that they eventually release these in 255/85r16. I sent them an email to express interest in it.

It’s over 100k for a mold and we have to get atleast 2 made. I don’t think you’ll end up seeing that size.

Do you work at their buffalo plant? I've got no doubt that it's expensive and that it probably won't happen, doesn't hurt to express some interest though.

Yea, I work in the buffalo plant. Unless that size got picked up by an OE and they got awarded the contract I highly doubt they would produce that size.

Who’s running these in a P Rated 285/70/17 ? Just curious on fitment and experience, MPGs compared to an LT version ?

I have been running the p285 for a couple of years now. It’s slightly wide compared to a BFG Ko or Toyo AT2 in a 285. I have a 2.5” lift and a cmc and it’s a tight fit. Couldn’t give you a mpg comparison by number, but obviously the LT will will give you lower mpg.

The tire itself is excellent. Even wear and certainly the best traction I have gotten from an All Terrain tire. The Silica enhanced compound leans it towards the winter tire category so it is relatively grippy on wet and cold surfaces. I took mine through one winter and they were decent. That said it’s unfathomably cold in the winter here so I still tend to go to my dedicated winters come November. Off road, no complaints. They get slick like any AT when the mud gets pastey, but hook up admirably on rock and dirt/gravel roads.

I really like the tire and would buy again. Would love to see a different sidewalk design, but do like the weight of the current one.

Thanks for your input ! I’m looking to just run these April to November, I run a studded winter tire during the winter months. Good to know about the tight fit, my plan was to try and run these without a cmc but that may not work.

Just ordered a new set. Currently running this tire in 265/70/16, and love it. Have new wheels coming and am going up to 265/70/17. Just a heads up for anyone in SoCal I'll have a set of Gunmetal Ray10s and the aforementioned tires, both with approximately 6,000 miles, for sale in the classifieds by the end of next week.

I think you will be happy with the tire’s performance. Falken got this one right IMO. It looks good and flat out performs from my experience. The only reason I would consider a different tire is that I am a sucker for trying out different treads. This tire has me second guessing that approach.
