I'm not even going into having a scooped hood and a snorkel and how silly that looks.

Yes I know the scoop isnt an intake but it seems to me if you market a permanent desert air intake then at least give the truck a flat hood. People see a hood scoop and a snorkel and they're probably wondering "what the hell, what good is that?!?!?"

Toyota marketing, at least try a little harder to sell the illusion for chrissakes.

I guess I had to go there......

I don't have a Pro but find it funny (if not sad) that a guy driving a 2016 is trying to cut up guys /gals that have chosen to get a Pro. I guess the most jealous 2016 owners are going to criticize the hardest since they couldn't get one back then. By the way, your moniker could easily be mistaken for aasnard, not jsinnard.

Yeah I guess it could.... but it's not my moniker, I post using my real name so I dont hide behind anything.

As for being jealous of a Pro owner, not at all... the color choice and the bed choice is the nail in the coffin for me.

I was running black wheels a year before the PRO came out. As for the grill, my first two trucks said TOYOTA up front, I wanted this one too also as I've always hated the sumbrero. My truck doesnt need to "PRO-tend to be anything other than an OR and I'm very happy with it.

I already have another truck and it happens to have a little bed. If that's the only choice available, no thank you no matter what the Pro would cost. No, I didnt trade it in so having enough money for the brand new 3rd gen wasnt a consideration.

I feel like there isn’t much of a discussion to have between a Pro and a DCLB, its basically a short bed vs long bed battle. You can buy a DCLB and upgrade the suspension to meet or exceed the pros for less than the price of a Pro I am sure. A scooped hood and whatever else the Pro’s include can be had to I am sure. Nothing against you guys out there who are driving pro’s, were all in Tacoma’s for a reason, and there’s a reason Toyota has different model Tacoma’s. There is never going to be one truck that suits us all.

Just like a DCLB. Give me a factory Pro suspension and mini lift under warranty and I would be especially pleased. IMG_0202.jpg

That’s what I wanted but unfortunately, they don’t make one So I’m building my own “TRD Semi-Pro”!D755742C-07A7-4A00-A3D2-6F18A3E58908.jpg
