Looks like one could confirm by taking a peak under the hood for this.

I checked my 2019 TRD Sport DCSB. I have three oil coolers (engine, AT, Power Steering) my window sticker is as above. It does not mention AT oil cooler however when you look up the specs at Toyota it lists the AT oil cooler and #640 hitch and #6400 towing max. Basically it does look like Toyota has changed the way the towing package is listed. On earlier models I believe 17 and earlier it was listed as TO package. I hope this helps some.

The 3rd Gen only gets a 24F Battery, with or without the Tow Package

 

All the more reason to keep the old one.

 

My 2016 TRD OR with the tow package has a 24F battery in it.

And, given that this thread is in the third gen section, information specific to the third gen is what's appropriate.

Nope, they didn't.

Though, toyota WILL replace the 24 with a 27 sometimes if you get a battery replaced under warranty. Looks a bit goofy, but there's plenty of room for it.

WTF. I want a tranny cooler on my MT. Lots of comments. OP did you just want to know if you had the package? Or was there some other reason. Good to know about the alternator. When I get another one I’ll be sure to get the bigger one.

When in doubt the VIN will get you a build sheet which should have all info on truck.

I thought I vaguely recall seeing/reading all 2018-Up V6 4x4 Automatics came with the tow package, all models. My 2018 SR5 had it as standard equipment and my 2018 TRDOR had it as standard equipment FWIW.

I was reading this tread and went back and looked at my 16 sticker and they charged 650 for the tow package. On my new 2021 pick it up Monday it just list the tow package and no cost. I wonder if it is just standard on the TRD now.
