Do I need to be a troll?

Ive only been a member of Tacomaworld since January, this is when I bought my 2016 Trd off road. I replaced a stock part with something some what custom and would like to sell the stock part. Do I really need 50 posts to sell a part? That sounds a little extreme. I understand the logic of protecting the forum and people from malaligned creatures but.....I have my ideas why this feature exists.
Ive been a member of a Volkswagen forum for probably 10 years and I bet I don’t have 50 posts. I come to these forums to learn things and exchange ideas. It’d be nice to be able to sell the occasional part if I can. Appreciate any insight into this rule.

If you're here to share ideas then 50 posts shouldn't be hard.

 

The mentality behind the rule, I would guess, is to have a track record to demonstrate your intentions are honorable. That, and encouraging you to be a part of the community.

I get it man. I understand people get scammed and it’s a way to protect that. Hell you just banged out three, maybe this my attempt at a few. I just don’t know what the hell to write about. I ask a question when I have one but I’m not going to comment on every “what have you done today” or “ov tune post” that I see.
