Yep they were behind I’m assuming but marked it as delivered for yesterday got a call from my gf while at my part time job that it had been delivered! But yesterday they sent the delivered then @itsnotatoy showed me the updated photo. I’m just glad it made it home! And I wasn’t a victim of thievery.

Lazy detective- it’s mail fraud- a federal crime. If you want to report it, go to the PO and report it to the Postmaster General.

Glad your HU was delivered a day late and not stolen. That does suck. I have a shit load of cameras facing my porch and front door, but still worried about porch pirates. It does help my community has large parcel boxes that are locked so most USPS items are pretty safe as long as they fit.

same thing happened to my son in Aliso Viejo......he works from home and was often having packages delivered to the house.....one day the FedEx guy dropped off a large suspicious looking box.....he saw the guy drop it off.....he also saw some guy gets a car 3 houses from his when he went out to get mail....he took the box inside and shut the door.....opened box to fine 30 iPhone 10s.......called cops and apple.....what they did was used a stolen credit card to buy phone and the change added after card was approved.....they just picked the wrong address this time.....cops told him it happens all the time....most people are not home when FedEx delivers so the thief just hangs out until the truck delivered....

Good outcome! Man, I bet you’re relieved. It’s like an early April fools day prank. Crazy

Actually it's not mail fraud or a federal crime. The postmaster said that this happens all the time and there is nothing you can (LEGALLY) do to stop somebody from using your address for their mail or deliveries. I told her that I'm a hard working, honest, law abiding, tax payer but there are a few things that I am willing to sit in jail for and my rights being violated is one of them. She told me that all she can do is stop her mail from getting delivered to my address but not any packages, (thank you captain obvious).

I opened the package that was delivered to my house and the paperwork inside has the billing address in OH but the shipping address is a PO box near me in NC. Who knows how far this scam really goes? I'm still working on getting to the bottom of this. My goal is to stop them from using my address and if they are using credit cards illegally then I plan on lighting them on fire while very slowly feeding them feet first into a wood chipper.

Isn't it a crime to open mail that is not addressed to you?

I think you are correct however I don't know if there is a hair I'm splitting since the delivery address is mine. Plus when you start getting credit card offers, credit cards, and credit card bills with your address you tend to want to put a stop to this. The police say no crime is being committed, the post master says no crime is being committed. What do you do?

The package was from Macys, called to talk to them about this issue but their fraud department does not open until 9am.

We all pay for fraud like this and while I can't put a stop to it all I can at least do everything I can to stop it from happening to me.

The package I received was from Macy's. I just talked to their fraud department which by the way, isn't from around here. First they wanted me to return this to a Macy's store. I said no, that I'm already going above and beyond and pointed out how their fraud department didn't verify that the bill to address is correct and I know that because I did and it's a vacant lot in OH. Then she said she would send me a ups return label and she did. I asked if she had a way to block this person from shipping to our address and she said that she did and would. Finally I told her that if I received any more packages fraudulently from Macy's that I was simply going to throw them in the trash.

I'm going to contact my attorney and get his advice on this and what my next step should be. If he's no help then I'll try to locate her physical address and pay her a visit.
