Now that I finally got my ovtune done, 2.7 is my next course of action. That’ll be it for me.

It's funny, the local shop told me not to go to a 2.7" or lower pulley with the OVtune yet. They want to wait until they have more access to the software end and can make changes on the fly or that's what they implied.

A lot of questions are being answered that of which are defined in the original post.

I'm not a jerk by any means and myself and many are happy to answer questions if they need further explanation but I highly suggest those asking belt sizes and pulley sizes refer to page 1 of this thread. I have taken a lot of time to make sure that everyone has a good foundation on what to know prior to asking further questions.

Normal AFR's should be between 14.6-14.8. AFR's which are higher than 14.8 are lean and can cause premature catalytic converter burn out. 14.5 is a bit on the rich side but may be indicative of a stochiometric burn based upon how ethanol diluted the fuel you are buying is at your local fuel station.

I’m under the impression the 2.7 is very safe with ovtune and no FPR mod.....or you can run the 2.7 with the TRD tune with the FPR.

Very likely. As I said I find it funny. I think they simply know they've had some problems with the 2.7 or lower pulleys on a few trucks with the OVtune and are playing it safe until they know more.

You have put a lot of hard work and research into that first post and have updated it as we go, much to my appreciation. My bad for not re-referencing it. Keep up the good work!

No problem! I just like making sure everyone knows the fundamentals about their blower is all. :)

Def looks beefier. I ordered another belt from Magnuson to hang in the garage just in case, can't get those over the counter around here.
I've got another issue I'll post some other time in the near future but thanks for the advice and help, much appreciated!

Maybe when I do the 2.7 and appropriate belt, I’ll do the Roush tensioner as well. Can you guys tell me how much of a pain it is to swap out the tensioner? Once the belt is removed, is it simply unbolt the old and replace with the Roush? ......once the pulley is swapped.

Might be the cause of the problem I had. Changed altitude and weather conditions may have been it. Reason I'm back to the trd tune...for now. Found a tech whiz that can help me with some datalog time. Then I'll see if ovtune can work some magic.

Do you think ov was the problem with the weather and altitude change ......or ov with the 2.7??

I ran the 2.7 and ovtune with a stock fuel pump for a while. Sure, might not be enough fuel delivery but I saw no lean conditions.

I had problems only in a different climate under hard load. A battery disconnect only helped a little while. I'm sure it's fine if I stay local. 2.7 pulley isnt to radical to get those issues imho

Tensioner was pretty easy, but I don’t have a big fan clutch and stock shroud in the way. Should still be pretty straight forward though, just might be less clearance to get your hands in there.
