Bluetooth audio problem

hey guys, have been having an issue for months where I pair my iPhone to the truck. Pairing is fine, the only issue is if I’m on YouTube playing a song or listening to a video, and I go adjust the volume on the truck’s audio, it always stops the video and my iTunes songs will kick in, its f******* annoying. I have to go back to YouTube and hit play again to continue with that. Anyone have this issue? First world problem I know, but just want to figure it out.

 

Yes it's a known "issue". Also had the same problem with a previous vehicle with was a VW Passat.

 

Just went out to the truck and tried it. My iTunes started playing as soon as I selected Bluetooth music. Not sure why, I didn't tell it to. Anyway, I started a You Tube video and the sound came right through. Changed the volume and it worked fine. The video never stopped.

I have the same issue and it drives me freaking nuts.

 

you know whats really freaking annoying? putting a text message to play and your song restarting. I use samsung music to play my music and it makes me want to pull my hair out.

 

I haven't noticed that, I always have to start iTunes myself, or we'll, I usually get Siri to do it, I still haven't figured how to get messages to show up, deleted all my favorites, deleted the phone out the system, etc, no luck.
But I haven't had much luck with streaming much except iTunes, I used to be a Spotify loyalist but was having the same issues as OP, I just switched to iTunes and make the best of it until I find some time and an aftermarket HU that I like.

 

the text messages is kinda of annoying too. if someones sends you a picture and you put read, it will read the whole filename non stop. It is so freaking dumb.

I have 4000+ songs on a mini USB stick, so never use Bluetooth music. Maybe why I've never noticed a problem.

Hmm maybe I am not missing much after all then, yeah I probably need to try that usb route.

 

Mine definitely does this too. But usually only Once, after adjusting the volume, then re-hitting play on YouTube, adjusting the volume has no affect playback. Same thing happens if my Spotify is not running I'm background apps

 

Mine was the same way up until yesterday, the damn thing would stop playing youtube and switch to Itunes everytime I tried to turn the volume up or down.

 

I had to delete apple music, anytime you get in the truck it fires up the first song in apple music. Like who in their right fuckin mind thought that was a good idea? I fuckin hate when apple does stupid shit like that.
