I mounted my Prodigy P2 in the compartment to the right of the steering wheel. This only works with automatic trannys - on manual trucks, the e-brake handle is here.

More information is on page 2 of my build thread, for any who are interested.

I added an external filter to my transmission, and take the actual temperature at that point. I also replaced the factory cooler with a larger one.

I am of the belief that you can't be too careful, or take too good of care of your transmission.

Believe I'd be more concerned with the crappy 65 mph tires that the trailers come with now.

Mounted mine in the pocket to the right of the steering wheel with a bracket I made from some flat aluminum stock.

I thought so...I drive by that area every once in a while and have never seen your truck, but I have seen the I-Go trailer. Always wondered what towed it.

Small world but I wouldn't want to paint it.

    Later.

Upgraded HD read leafs, brake controller, trans cooler, and weight distribution system installed. The '03 pulls our Jayco 16XRB Hybrid like a champ. Gas mileage blows (around 10-11 mpg). Dry weight of the camper is around 2,600 lbs, which is one reason we bought this model. I wouldn't even attempt to pull anything over 4,000 lbs dry with a v6 Taco. At that point you need to move up to a full size truck with a V8. Once you factor in the weight of passengers and gear you are well above the towing capacity for these vehicles.

@adamdsgn good info and thanks for posting. I have a new to me MicroMinnie at 3700lbs dry and this confirms what I was thinking.... take it easy and stop A LOT FOR GAS.

Lots of differences of opinions here which is interesting. Bottom line is if you are not comfortable with towing, don't. Picking up this unit next week and is probable the smallest RV we have owned but love my 18 ORDC 4x4 so it is what it is. Dry weight at 4800+ or - and only used for long weekends so won't be loaded to the nuts like our big 5th wheel used to be for long trips. Dealer installed WDH with sway and brake controller. Moab 2 hours away or Ouray 2 hours away with occasional trips down to Phoenix area in winter months, about 6 hours. Not in a hurry to get there and like my father in law told me when we bought a 36 class A gas motorhome, "if you are worried about the gas mileage, you better take it back now".

I'm picking up a 23ft StarCraft with a dry weight of 5200lbs this Wednesday. Hopefully it'll tow well with it
My truck is a 15 Tacoma trd offroad with you package .But I also added an additional transmission cooler to the stock one. I also have Dakar leaf package with the aal on it.

Suspension is icons 2.5 with reisviors and front springs are 700lbs.

Truck sitting on 37s tires but it has been regeared to 4.88s I also have the pedal commander which is a big noticeable difference in throttle response.

It is gonna have a wdh with stablizer bars also. I already have the p3 brake controller as well.

Here's the trailer I went to test fit and see what I need before the pick up date.

Dude, you have started the end of the world! How dare you even imagine towing something heavier than a marshmallow. LOL. Totally agree with the idea that if you are not comfortable towing, then don't tow.

I have towed my friends Tacoma before it weighed 5500lbs without the trailer. It pulled fine besides a lot of swaying but that's with a uhaul trailer with just a regular hitch. I'm guessing it'll be alot better with the wdh.
