I'm hoping to scout some trails for an upcoming Windrock trip on Sunday. Anybody want to join?

 

That's what sold me on it. I drove @Snowy 's 1st gen and it convinced me. Plus here's a bunch of other good things that you can take advantage of

Bench seat was a must, so SR5 was the winner trim in his case. Funny that after test driving all the stuff from the different manufacturers that what made or broke a model was having a 40-20-40 front seat so that we could stuff 6 people in the cab pulling the race trailer. His was 39400 too so they really are on the more affordable end of the truck spectrum.

Well after seeing @allenfab at AOP just basically idling up a steep incline it got me thinking but I've got so many other things to do first. But it will happen. Be sure to do an in-depth write-up on it

 

Here's the rough draft I have in my head at the moment:
cut hole in floorboard.
remove driveshafts.
bolt crawlbox in.
get driveshafts lengthened/shortened.
extend wires.
ghost ride the whip.

 

Don't ask me. I'm in the hole too.

Bought a t4r last weekend. It's hella fancy compared to my truck. Mitchell and I were driving around like night to get dinner.

I'll help with any of those steps, but especially the last one.

I sit out for LBL but I don't at AOP

 

I goddamn hate mud. I’m still finding it even in my F250 after LBL

 

Worst part is it being in all the bearings and then you get under the truck and shit falls in your eyes.

 

@rngr how did Mitchell beat you to the crawlbox game? I'm not mad, just disappointed.

I'm too busy spending all my money on my wife's new car, dishwasher, washing machine, and all that other reeeeeally fun stuff I've bought lately.

 

Since you're driving so few miles to work now... sell the Jetta and buy a crawler
