Went on the 101 from Newport, OR to Eureka, CA. I'm gonna have to make another trip out there at some point, was pretty awesome.

We did it from Astoria to about mid-OR. The goal was to get to the redwoods then turn east for PA. But, we made mistake of bringing the stupid cat.

We ended up heading through Grants Pass to Klamath Falls and onto Wendover, which was just as twisty and epic at the same time.

    Definitely! Fucking cat.

299 looks great. The run to Klamath was great. I think it was 140, but it might have been Dead Indian Memorial Road. We were winging it at that point. Pre-GPS.

Load that bike up. There are epic roads all over Eastern WA, OR, and ID. There's some nice stuff in Western WA, but enforcement, traffic, and shear distances between them suck.

    Check out this crazy mofo:

It's called the Aufderheide and makes the Dragon a bit of a laugh.

I was looking at the rawhyde trips yesterday. I think I'm gonna need to do one (or more) of those.

Too funny, I drive dead Indian memorial road every day as part of my 60 mile commute with my truck. A very nice twisty road, it was snowy today. But when the weather clears for good it’s a seriously good road for a mt 911, ask me how I know.

My friend and I drove the whole CA-1 as part of our roadtrip on the westcoast, probably one of the nicest road I ever drove on although some place were a bit boring. He wanted to take the Intersate between LA and SF I said fuck no lol we on vacation, no need to rush.

The only time we drove more than one hour on the Interstate (excluding LA and SF traffic) between Denver and Grand Junction, pretty awesome to climb up the rockies just to drive back down a canyon. We also drove the 74 from Indio to San Clemente which was pretty awesome too.

You guys have way more choices than us when it comes down to nice twisty roads. But LE is next to non existant on our country roads though... :burnrubber:

Everyone must drive CA 1 once in their life. If only the stretch from San Francisco to LA. But the stretch north of San Francisco is iconic as well with a lot less traffic and you get to drive through some redwoods. The best road I ever drove was Highway 34 between Loveland, Colorado and Estes Park, just west of Rocky Mountain National Park. About 20 minutes of perfect pavement, no traffic and 40 miles an hour posted curves it’s nirvana in a vehicle that can corner, should have turned around and done it over and over.

With my manual transmission 2019 taco, is there a measurable increase in mpg with the OV tune? Trying to decide for that reason alone if I should buy it. Going to be taking my highly modified flatbed taco around the world carrying about 2000 lbs. Paying a few hundred dollars for the tune is worth it if it saves on some gas. With many miles to go, many in the middle of nowhere I do not plan on driving aggressively.

I think everyone here is seeing an increase in fuel economy. I’m seeing about a 2-3 mpg bump in mine

In addition to the all around better performance and responsiveness

    2-3 mpg increase is a no-brainer then, thanks @Shellshock!

Considering you will be rolling heavy, the increased power will be the real benefit ;)

Increased power will be nice, but since I'm regearing with 5.29s hopefully that will be enough

I hope you are putting monster tires on with a 5.29 and MT!
