In regards to your Marlin.... I snagged a marlin 6 was I was debating on getting back into it.
It is what it is. Not a bad ride. Still have mine. Its my loaner. Components werent up to the task.
Spoke with my LBS in regards to upgrades.. had my try what is noq my Fuel EX. Was a no brainer.

Really depends on whether youre happy with it....

By all means.. .. an entry level bike that gets ridden, is better than a top shelf unit collecting dust.

 

after years of trying to actually get a single doctor to listen to me it finally happened. got into see a sports medicine doc and in like 1 minute he was like i’m doing your acl, meniscus. 2nd visit he added the mcl. friday i went in and 7.5 hours later. new acl, mcl and repaired meniscus.

i got co-whomped on by a upper respitory tract infection the night i left out patient. about 4am that morning 102 fever, brown shit in the lungs. this morning while it seemed to be breaking up i knew pneumonia was a serious fucking threat so i hit the ER just to be safe. clear, no pneumonia. it looks like 6 months i’ll be back on the bike stronger than i have been in almost a decade

Well, a solid trip to Moab and Fruita in the bag for this spring. Rode Klondike, Navajo Rocks, Mag 7 with the Portal, and Porcupine, then went to lap some 18rd fun on PBR and Joe's.
100+ miles and 10K vert in five straight days, I'm beat. And goddam Portal always kicks my ass, just works you.
Anyways, some pics. Nothing riding, I was solo.
