    I have the Pro IFS, which is 1/4" aluminum, so it makes no sense to get a steel mid skid... also, I don't wheel that hard. Just need minor protection.

    But, don't discount what aluminum can handle. I saw a used and abused Pro skid and was thoroughly impressed.

    Since we're on the topic of dogs, DO NOT TRUST ROVER.COM CARETAKERS!

    Our Yorkie was picked up and shaken by a Great Dane. He died on the surgical table but, luckily, was able to be revived. Rover paid the medical bills, except a $250 deductible, but they did nothing to help prevent this from happening to other families. Animal control wouldn't even take a statement because the great Dane was on it's own property (it was the caretakers dog).
