Hahah screw that dealership. I bought mine off Amazon as well for $15. The easiest thing to replace on these trucks. $60 is crazyyyy

I agree, that latch looks like it was exposed to salt water. I hope that's not the case.

Ordered the same one with the intention of following the Meso mod of his. Short timeline, cutting for the 35’s and rookie move tossing the fender liners eventually landed me going with the Dobinsons

How did you find the fitment of the prado? I am hoping it will not be a huge pain as I really dislike how the ARB/Dob snorks look. I plan on anchoring the top of the snorkel to my prinsu instead of the A-pillar to avoid drilling where airbags live.

It came with some, as well as a cutting template. I am thinking there will be some additional fab work needed though.

Never got a chance to cut for the Prado snorkel since the air box tube was short. The curve on the inside of the Prado snorkel lines up pretty good with the body line on the fender tho. Pretty much eyeball because the Prado template is useless in the Taco. I was cutting it close on time for a trip to Tennessee, so I abandoned the idea and went with the Dobinsons. Not a fan of the giant snorkel look, but it came down to function for me. I’ll probably revisit the snorkel option later when I get glass fenders

Makes sense. I am going to have to make some custom airbox tubing I assume, which is fine. I really wish there were ones that cut down into the fender closer to the back, but oh well. I'll try to do a good job documenting the install for others.

Wonder what drove it to be $520? Mine was $397. 2016 verses 2017 maybe?

Installed the Hylux 6000K HIDS from ebay for the low beams. I posted a short video of the beam pattern and cutoff on my Instagram page: kalashnikov_4774

Got a so-so base coat of rattle can black in the sliders. Gonna let me sit for a day or two, then come back for a final coating.
