Bummer. Cool that you get to play around with prototyping stuff regardless but man, I wonder what happened internally there to cause such a shift. I can't imagine there's any real die hard "long travel kit car full of giggles" people at the helm anymore... :notsure:

In other news I got approached by a guy in a Mustang at the car wash today  stopped by to admire my truck.

They just couldnt keep it going. That was a very Niche market.

Actually, a lot of the guys are still there. The Engineer we work with has been there since the beginning. He remembered our big TW meet there years ago, and drives a beat to shit Toyota Pickup crawler.

Nice, well that's good to hear at least. When I first heard the news I thought the worst. Often times when a company makes that drastic of a market shift it's because of some major league internal strife. I remember reading an article about some company that went through something like that- where basically two groups split apart and had an internal war over who got control of the project and/or company. Organizational psychology stuff. Damn I am fucking boring.

Thats exactly what happened to my parents. Both of them (Stepdad was the Plant Manager and my mom was Accounting/Logisitics) worked for a local fertilizer manufacturing plant. After the owner of the fertilizer company 'Ironite' sold off the name to Scotts.. he sold the property, equipment, tailing's, etc all to my parents and a couple other business partners. They went in on it all and stared a new company and new product based off of findings from research done for the old company. Well, the old owner didnt like that too much, especially with how well it was doing, and started a Scottsdale Millionaire-Money Lawyer War... for years it put everything on hold. Its finally cleaned up some after 10+ years.. and my parents are starting to get things rolling again. But for a while there, they were on the verge of bankruptcy and some dark times. Cutting back on the usual things and even selling their new Lexus GX they bought in cash to pay the few employee's they had out of pocket.. It even cost them losing out on a multi-million dollar deal overseas..

Another piece of the puzzle showed up today. Thanks @4Running Daily and his buddy at SRQ Fab for hooking it up with the harnesses. Still a few little bits to order as I get to them but roll cage tear down starts next week.
