It was taken apart so it could be moved on a trailer and something happened to the motor, I don’t think it’s seized up but something is wrong with it. In any case I don’t think it has a functioning hour meter so I don’t think FAA would ever sign off on it unless it was completely rebuilt

When I was in school, that aircraft boneyard in Mojave wanted $5k minimum in permit fees just to do a student photoshoot there...wasn't for anything commercial or even for profit.

They did let us take a tour of the place though, which was cool. I've driven by it a number of times since then, kind of an eerie looking place.

I’ll try to get some this weekend, it would be sweet if it flew again. Only plane i’ve Ever flown was a Cessna 150, only about an hour and a half, but still, put it on the life goals for sure

That’s crazy. It’s a cool place, somehow seemingly made up of EasyJet planes for some reason.

I was scouting locations to do a horn commercial out in San Francisco when I looked into permitting. Practically anything owned by the city can be filmed. You can even hire out Muni, BART, cable cars, and state owned vehicles with operators to be in it. For students it’s a whole $0 for a film permit.

I’d need a letter from the head of the Film department, and since I’m not even close to being in the Arts Department I don’t think telling them I want to honk all over the Streets of San Francisco and need a permit for it would fly.
