Thinking about upgrading from my white 2000 Tacoma to a black 2016 Tacoma.

You guys who have a black one, would you do it again? Swirl marks and tough to keep clean are what I remember about my last black vehicle....around 1993

I have a black SUV and a blue Tacoma. They're both dirty, life goes on.

I had a black taurus before my Tacoma, black looks great but all the dirt and imperfections are way easier to see. If I can host it I don't purchase black vehicles.

Meh. I have black. I wheel frequently. I always hand wash and try to avoid swirls. I just accept it for what it is. Paint on Toyotas is shit anyway so when it gets bad enough I'll just wrap it.

I have a black Tacoma and it is a pain in the ass to keep clean. I enjoy detailing anyway and it looks great. The only thing that i don’t like about 2016/2017 is the black paint has no metallic in the paint. It is flat which does show everything. The 2018 up has a little mixed in the paint which reduces the imperfections. I would buy again though because it looks sharp when clean.

I've owned two black cars. Its probably my favorite color but I'll never own another unless it's a high dollar garaged performance toy.. Way too much hassle. Plus I use my trucks like a trucks and small dings and brush pinstriping are guaranteed. Black highlights every single little flaw.

Thanks guys...the one I’m looking at lured me in because of the great detail job. Looks fantastic but I suspect keeping it that way would be way too much work

Also, good point on the heat....I’m in Alabama!

I always say no, and then I end up going black again.

Ideally, I'd do MGM if I could do it again.

Black is my favorite color on a car and I wont even own one. Wifes pyrite Mica is hard as shit to keep clean and needs paint corrected badly.

love my black truck (first black vehicle), bitch to keep it looking dialed..but I am anal about keeping it clean. Sometimes I regret getting black until i get it all waxed up and dialed then I remember why I bought black. Clay bar and some compound wax goes a long way. Ceramic coat is probably they way to go if you do not like doing your own detailing

Did this three times. Now in my fifties, never again. Also two were 1 ton crew cab dually. It was like taking care of 2 to 3 Tacoma's at once.
