I'd buy that spec 1 build over what they got going down in my neck of the woods. Looks like real rock sliders and shocks at least.....vs. fake lifts and aesthetics only. But to each their own. (Like our SoCal women? Lifts and fake Tig o Bitties?!)

Super easy. Basically just unscrew the old twist locks from the cover. Take a drill (with biggest but you have) and drill out the hole using the side of the bit, going around and around inside the hole, little by little, until the love slide in perfectly.

Careful not to over drill and don’t try to fit the lock in if the hole isn’t big enough. Should be a perfect fit. Go slow, and test fit after a little bit of drilling...

Then I used my vise grip to hold the latch so i could bend it to the perfect fit (ended up being the OD of a 9/32 craftsman socket).

I tried bending the latch on the first lock with everything put together, and that lock doesn’t turn smoothly. Bend the latch with it off of the lock...

    Then put it together... DONE!

Found a mesh grill that I really like on customcargrills dot com, but I really gotta know... is this a legit pro grill? https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/parts/2018/Toyota/Tacoma/TRD Pro/index.cfm?action=partDetail&section=BODY HARDWARE&group=GRILLE&subgroup=GRILLE & COMPONENTS&component=Upper grille&partnumber=5310104050C0&vehicleid=503011&siteid=214329

Seems way too good a price to be the right part. It's also less than half the price of the one I have spec'd out and that's tempting if it's good to go.

edit: I'm aware the trd pro grill is a :deadhorse: so apologies in advance, I've just seen the above suggested a few times without anyone confirming if they bought one.

And my luck is still holding. Went to Sac. today and picked up these new aluminum boards off a Voodoo Blue 2019 Pro. He switched to N Fab Steps. Craigslist. Got em for 200. 60 bucks in gas. Love em. IMG_20190328_170722.jpg
