    Did his have the grease fitting or the older style (prone to failure)? SPC insert placed through the top or inserted from the bottom of the steering knuckle?

    Could be the reason you had trouble clipping the snap ring into place. The older style ball joint has the SPC inserted pressed into the steering knuckle from the top and the snap ring placed on bottom. PITA from what I saw on a few videos of the older style UCAs. The current version has the insert pressed in from the bottom and the snap ring on top. Easy.

    @BartMaster1234 if you don't have the revised version of ball joint with the grease fitting, contact SPC and get them switched out.

    You think that’s bad? I had to do a clutch in a Celica all trac turbo. Never again, amazing car. But holy fuck the amount of vacuum lines and wires is hell. You can’t see ground anywhere in the engine bay
