No, swapped in an entire rear axle assembly from a TRD off-road and then re-geared both diffs to 4.88

The axle housings and even the size of the diff are different. So it's not a drop in affair.

Like said above, most people end up swapping the entire axle.

Honestly, I would look into an ARB air locker. The TRD lockers are cool, and I like mine, but gun to my head I'd choose an ARB. The e-lockers don't always engage right away, where as the ARBs are pretty much instant.

Harrop elocker is another option. It’s internal to the diff (no exposed actuator) and doesn’t require a compressor or pneumatic lines so a little simpler than ARB.
I have one now and pretty happy with it.
Actually ended up giving my cousin my TRD off-road axles and took his (because of 4.10 gears) and threw in the locker.
It’s wired to my OEM locker switch

Very true, those are just pretty expensive (not that ARBs are cheap). iirc, Harops were like $1500. ARBs are like $700 or so, but it has been a while since I was price shopping.

But if you're starting from scratch, you're going to have to pull some wires anyway, and if you go air, it's a good excuse to get an on-board air system as well. It's easy, just :spending: lol

All said, the ARB + compressor is probably pretty comparable cost wise to the Harrop.

I was thinking ARB was what was going to happen but $$$$$. I didn’t know Harrop was a thing. Thanks for all the input.
