In California they are supposed to be covered up when the vehicle is on the road :anonymous:

That defeats the purpose of the hood scoop! The scoop is for more air flow!! :annoyed:

Yes! I was just about to type and saw your post. When I was younger, we had handheld q-beams and they were awesome, not to mention portable and cheap.

A taco is a taco pretty much anywhere but, I will agree that San Diego has the best carne asada and cheese burritos in the galaxy (don't forget the guacamole).

They notice your high beams they just ignore it. Can't ignore the LIGHT OF FUCKING GOD filling up your whole cabin

People think they're like getting abducted by aliens or pulled over by the police they move out of the way quick. Never had someone not move with a quick flash of my lower valence mounted 30".

Illegal for sure but I just give them a quick flash, leaving it on might honestly make them lose control its BLINDING.

They're also good for assholes that drive around with their high beams. I'll give them a quick flash of mine but if they don't turns theirs off I blast them with my ray charles

Hows the distance on thos front bumper lights?? I've been disappointed in every lightbar I've seen for long range light. My 30" valence bar and ditch light pods do a great job lighting up the canyon walls and stuff AROUND me, but my high beams still penetrate farther long range.

A buddy of mind who's raced the Baja1000 still swears by HIDs for distance, I think he uses LightForce but they're expensive as shit.

So I'm thinking of even going with a high watt halogen by KC or possibly an HID. What are you running and hows the distance?? I like high speed offroading in the open desert so really want to see as far as possible.

These by themselves are not your lights then. I specifically set them up to improve on the areas not covered well by the beams. These are actually rugged 5” Apollo’s. The sides are to fill the void left when you go to highs as alternate lows, and the centers are spots to supplement the highs dead on. When combined with the bar LEDs I get excellent long and short, and the three hues blend really nicely. If you are looking for a single solution pm Taylor at KCHilites.

Don’t get me wrong, these rock, you just need a different model for your goals.

Tacos el gordo are in fact very good, but you need to jump the border to get the real tacos from TJ

I actually found myself wanting a Sport hood after too many episodes of Knight Rider. I want a Larson scanner in the scoop.
