I previously owned a '12 f150 lariat with the fancy tech package. My second favorite part of that tech package was the program reminders. I could set reminders and it would alert when an artist or game came on. Is this something that was Ford or Sirius? I would really like to be alerted to what channel the Texas Rangers game is on, or what channel has Dave Matthews playing right now. Is there a feature like I just described on the factory head unit on my new Tacoma? I've got a TRD OR with tech package but not the JBL if that helps.

Just let your Sirius free trial expire and never look back. It's too expensive for the level of audio quality. Maybe i'm just a cheap skate, but I don't see it being worth anymore than $25 a year.

I had the paid subscription before because i can listen to fox news, ballgames, 10 music channels, and be alerted when my favorites came up. If there's not way to get the reminder I may pull out

The Sync 3 System is light years ahead of Toyota's Entune, Maybe it will work with Sirrus.
    Sync 3 is da bomb....

    Hello,

The answer is no, the Toyota system does not support artist alert or whatever it's called. My Audi has this feature so I can only assume it's something that manufacturers decide whether to support or not, not something that comes standard with the subscription .

When my wife bought her 2018 Camry, she gave Sirius XM a shot. She decided that it wasn't for her and let the trial subscription lapse. She's been getting email, text, and USPS messages from them ever since trying to get her to sign back up. At first she politely told them that she wasn't interested. Lately she 's just been ignoring them.

When I bought my 2019 Tacoma, I started getting emails, wanting me to sign up. I ignored them. Then they started sending emails wanting me to confirm my email address. I ignored those as well. Then I got several "Final" opportunity emails. Also ignored. I haven't heard from them lately. :) Hopefully they'll eventually figure out that I'm not interested.

Both of us have USB flash drives with our favorite music. No subcription and no commercials.

Lately I've been using the Kindle app on my phone, via Bluetooth, to enjoy Audio books on the Tacoma's Entune.

Now THAT is the Cat's pajamas.

    My Charger has it...

    Im on the opposite spectrum.

We could care less about sports, or news, or... whatever.
But, I cover a lot of ground in my van, and our cars, from to Texas, maine, blah blah.
Dont always have decent cell for pandora... and, they dont play anything my wife and I listen to on regular radio.

I use the Sirirus all the time but not sure of any alerts. My Ford that I had you could see the channel label not just a number like the Taco. I miss that but I get use to the numbers and what station they are.
