Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I am new to OVtuning and had a question. I ordered the kit for my truck, do I have to wait tell the kit is in my hand to register? or can I register it now so I don't have to wait once I have it? I have a System ID: from my computer is that all I need?

 

LOL! Fix one problem only to find another! That's pretty much my daily routine.

Yes, you can go ahead and send the email to register. You don’t have to have the kit in hand.

If it's a "vintage" Dongle tuning kit, it should also include a dongle that looks like one of the pictures in this post.

 

that's not a dongle kit, that's a dongleless kit. Our tactrix were clear and the cases are different.

 

Your dealer is an idiot. The new tune should be called "your dealer is an idiot."

 

When i bought, there were no cases offered at all. @OVTune will you ever sell us old school, original dongle purchasers a case?

 

Is there anyone in the Richmond, Va area that would be willing to let me use their tactrix to flash the newest version of the tuy ne? My tactrix was taken from my glove box when my truck was stolen. I emailed @OVTune support three times for over a month and have only gotten one useless response. I know they're really busy and I have a lot of appreciation for all the hard work that has gone into the tune but to spend that kind of money and be ignored and denied a little customer support is ridiculous. I mean I already bought the tune and now im trying to give you more money to replace my stolen connector...

This may be venting this may be a great idea or been asked for before. There are tweaks that are happening to the 1.05 Tunes right?
Will there be an adjustment to where the truck shifts into 4th gear? It feels like to jumps into it around 30-35 mph and just lugs. feels almsot like premature shifting into OD. the truck feels great if your in the throttle a tad more and force it to make the decision between 40-45 mph.

Am i the only one who feels this way or has this been discussed?

 

Been discussed. It’s due to the current shift logic. Mat is rewriting the shift logic from scratch for a future release.

I fixed this issue by switching back over to 91 perf/TG tune due to better torque. Also, my mpg jumped backed to 22 because less throttle play to get out of flat 4th gear.

 

Yes, my Tactrix is clear, and my case is different. But I haven't seen everyone else's dongle. I really don't want to, to tell you the truth.
