We have talked about straps before. When Chris and I measured them out, I want to say we figured there was a half inch of travel in both directions remaining. I've been hit in the head a few times though, @Texoma do you remember?

Either way, I've had them fully extended and I've compressed the bump stops as much as they will and the shocks are still good.

I started an Excel spreadsheet once.

Then I put the computer in the paper shredder.

And no need for wheel spacers out back right? I was considering sua and i think i would have to run 1.5" spacers with a shock relocate

You looking at doing the 12" rear shock conversion?

Nope. Not necessary. I've never rubbed the shocks even on the factory rims with... What? 5.25" of backspacing.

With SUA go with 14" shocks. You'll want limit straps and you'll need custom length brake lines. +6 MIGHT do it.

What leaf pack? Swapping the hangers? Shackle flip?

Gonna go with dmz SUA lt with deavers and 14" shocks with the archive relocate so i dont have to cut the bed. Ill need to run 1.5" wheel spacers for shock clearance which sucks, but oh well..

It completely cuts out all the hangars and replaces them from what i understand

Gonna have to look into that. Full LT is in the future. These IFS trucks are a trip.

I really like Archive's stuff. The hangers with the support tube sound great from the reviews and apparently make the truck a lot more stable. I can see how but it's just hard for me to believe the frame is flexing that much on the road.

Hmmm.. if I unbolt all my cross member bolts maybe I can get the frame to flex a bit more. If I don't have at least a 1200 on the RTI I just don't sleep at night.

I called it "archive" but its archive garage that makes that shock relocate. From what i read and from the few LT guys i talked to, they said 14" is the biggest you can go before you cut the bed.

I figured im keeping this one as a prerunner so might as well do it right and go spring under. My plan is to do the rear first and then rebuild the front to match the rear. I always read about ppl doing the front LT first and then the rear cant keep up

Start with the rear. The rear compliments the front so much on these trucks. Once you unlock it, you'll be amazed. For a while I ran with the extended travels up front and the factory length in the rear. Flex definitely improved but when we added the longer shocks, OMG night and day.

I want some of that frame stiffening goodness for my red taco, that sounds fun

If you have to take your truck apart for a motor swap, might be a good time to cage it:devil:

You could always box the frame and weld some plates in the weaker areas more prone to flexing.

Something I have considered. And it would be a smart move for safety.

I traded parts for labor at the Triple C. I'd guess the shocks and springs were worth 300?

Gently used 887 coils, gently used ARB Nitro Chargers
