I used this site as a resource for a month before the purchase. It took almost that long to find a Taco with the features I wanted, the condition I was looking for, and the price I could afford. I ended up with this:

    2013 DCSB TRD
    4.0L v6
    4x4
    33,xxx

I had the dealer relocate the vehicle to saint Louis so I could take a test drive and inspect the undercarriage. It made its way to me through NY and HI. I was concerned with frame rust due to sea salt and road salt, but after much research I found that the underside of the truck is nothing to worry about and nothing a bit of fluid film can't help protect. Turns out it was traded in by a member of our armed forces and she took extremely good care of it. Thanks to the previous owner and to everyone else who is or has served our country!

I've learned quite a bit from the forums and find myself checking in to see what's new each day. I've already ordered an air filter to mod that. I've found myself looking at suspension/lift information lately, but I still can't wrap my head around it. I'll keep looking and asking questions until I figure that out.

On a side note, I did back into a spot at work this morning. When I left 11 hours later I found a sister truck (gen 3) backed up to mine. Thought that was cool. I should have taken a picture of it. Maybe next time.

@JaCado I’ve never been much of a car person and I’m just getting into it. I’ve looked at the suspension forum but still confused on the lift, suspension, tires etc. I’d like a smaller lift. Maybe a few inches and I still can’t figure out exactly what I need...so many choices and options. Then I read that lifts may require a solid axle to prevent shimmy. I’ve seen a few pics on the Magnetic Gray forum I like. Maybe I should reach out to them and see what they’ve done. I’m just not sure I’ll understand the answer.

Not so confusing really, just a lot of info and combos of parts.
What is the intended use of the truck. Daily driver, pavement queen, dirt devil, rock crawler (solid axle area)

    Give Marie a shout @HeadStrong Off-Road
Sounds like you could benefit from a add a leaf and bilstein 5100's for shocks. Possibly a old man emu 885 0r 886 coil spring.
