I'll check when I go out to my truck in a bit if you still need to know.

On a similar note my 5100s and 885s showed up in the mail yesterday!

Edit: after reading more posts... Who and what is the question?

Yeah nothing wrong with a spacer lift up to 2". Those 2nd gen coils are close to putting an 884 on a stock 1st gen. It wouldnt be horrible with a double cab and steel bumpers. But on a stock extra cab, its gonna ride horrible.

I had FJ coils on my first gen and it actually rode really good. Might be worth a shot. I'd lose the sway bar for sure though.

Little smaller than some of the other ones we had looked at and really liked but the area is exactly where we want to be. It is by far the newest house we have looked at being built in 2013 so there shouldn't be any major issues with the house but we have the inspection today. The garage is a good size so it should be able to fit all my shit no problem lol

Thats a common thing on the 3rd gen 4runners for 2-3" of lift.

No prob. You are only going from a 540 spring rate to a 590 right? I think that's the stock numbers. My bet is you will get about 1.5" lift and a little stiffer front end. When I did mine I even stepped it up to the middle setting on the bilsteins eventually to get around 2.5" and it still rode good.

I haven't seen it on the third gens but alot of people seem to do it on the 4th gens when I was looking and we're getting about a inch of lift. Sounds about right for the 3rds if that's the case. When I was looking I couldn't find any info on the coils on 1st gen Tacomas/3rd gen 4runners

    3” lift. Sway a ways 2.5 on 285 75 16 and much more
My thought process is when you install your rock sliders they don’t sit flush with your body panels. Same with the front. The bumper would be there to take some impact when off road also with more material it would be just that much more structural stronger. I could be wrong tho,...

Depends, if its stucking out more if you hit that corner it puts more leverage on the welds at the bottom.

Plus a more narrow truck will pass though stuff easier because less to hang up on. But your call. If you like the flare keep it. I think it will look better flush

Do you really off-road hard enough to worry about that though?

I don't wheel that hard but I think anyone whos been off road tries to avoid body damage as much as possible.
Unless you have a beater on 40s lol

I was just wondering, I’m not gonna say I wheel hard but I do spend a lot of time off the pavement going wherever I need and I don’t think I even hit the stock bumper very much, you’d have to be doing some pretty crazy shit to really bang up a HC steel bumper I think
