Hello from NW Ohio!

Hello!

In the past, I was very active on jeepforum, and loved every second of jeep ownership. However, life got in the way, and I sold the jeep for a down payment on my home. I'm happily writing to introduce myself to Tacoma World!

As an aspiring slumlord, I've always had a small truck to run errands, haul tools/material, and landscaping stuff. I've dreamed that once my trusty Frontier gave up, I would finally make the move to the Tacoma.

The day has finally come, and I couldn't be happier with my 2018 TRDOR, manual transmission! I'm attempting to not let the bug bite too deep as its a partial work truck, but it's only a matter of time before the modifications start happening.

When I daily drove the jeep, I lived in Atlanta, was active in two clubs, and spent two weekends a month playing in the woods. Frankly I miss the offroading world, and look forward to getting back into it. I now live back in my hometown NW Ohio, where offroading is a commitment and takes quite a drive to get anywhere worthwhile.

I look forward to meeting you guys and gals, and (hopefully) showing off my slow progress down the Tacoma modification rabbit hole.

Welcome to the group! Unfortunately not alot in the area for offroading. You do not see many from the area ha. Where about in NW Ohio are ya?

 

I'm from Perrysburg but recently bought a house in Whitehouse. Small world.. I notice you're from the Toledo area as well!

I'll stop down and say hello! I'm always on the hunt for a meet up and I visit columbus frequently. I miss my school days at OU and all the offroading south east ohio/ west virginia has to offer!

 

I enjoy slingin mud at some lakes in the Rushville area! I wish there were more places to go.

Port Clinton here. Original owner 2012 2.7L 5-Speed manual 4WD. 85,000 mi.
Do you NE Ohio drivers also notice how hard the winters w/salt etc. takes it toll on our trucks? Seems penetrating oil is my best friend if I need to remove anything under the vehicle. Wow.

 

I'm always down for a beer or three.

If anyone is into some mountain biking, I'd be happy to hit the trails as well!
