I have a shift flare going into 3rd gear on cold start. V6 3.5. Is there anything I can do about it? Transmission fluid is topped off. Is there a tsb to fix this for the v6?

I searched but only found a few short threads that are from 2016. Hoping there is an update on this issue since then.

Toyota will tell you the flare is normal... mine does it. As long as your fluids are topped off..........

Wondering if it affects the longevity of the transmission? Did you ever get a tsb applied?

This truck shifts like a dog humping a fire hydrant... lots of movement... little to show for it. I would love to see what this tranny is like with 100k miles on it.
