Need some visual advice. I’m in the middle of my bumper build. Can’t decide if I should keep the sides this wide or cut it back 1”?
Other pictures of the elite bumper for reference. Let me know what y’all think.

I'm coming to Charleston the weekend of April 27... if you remember to make sure I remember,
I'll bring it... you can have it if we can meet up somewhere... I won't be in town, but out
    near Hollywood...

I'd trim it and get it a bit closer to the truck. Unless you plan on doing full hoops

Edit: or just trim the corners a bit

Trim it. I wanted to say something when you first posted the design but didn’t want come off as a criticism. Now that you ask though I say trim it.

Trim it. And can you angle the sides a bit more? I feel you will be losing some approach angle on the sides with the walls being straight down like the center.

Trim it by putting an angle to the corners and make the ends smaller for better clearance.

Probably around valve cover gasket time. Book times similar. Make sure they replace the pipe not just reseal. Some are bad welds so a reseal wouldn’t solve it. I would also replace the knock sensor harness just because your there... and they’re brittle by now

Ill play around with this option too. really want to keep it as close as possible to the original elite bumper design.
By the way did you decide if your doing full hoops?

Nope, not doing the full headlight hoops. Going to add a kicker to each side of the center hoop and fill the cutouts on the ends somehow.

Im still trying to decide what to do with mine.
Filling the holes should be fairly easy.

Yeah, I'll probably weld some of the pipe for the headlight hoops in there and then cut them flush and weld a cap in place. Something along those lines. Waiting for the additional material being sent out to increase the thickness of the recovery points, then I'll finish up the front bumper. Again.

Yeah, get a copper spoon and draw around the hole with the welder. Take a few passes, then grind smooth.
