I am not sure about this.

I do however have a soundbar for my TV that is connected to my Amazon Fire TV. When watching streaming TV service It sometimes gets out of sync. I power off and then back on the soundbar real quick and the problem is solved every time. Before i figured this out many peeps at work canceled their streaming TV for this very reason. If they only new to power cycle the sound bar.

Maybe you can try power cycling something? To see if it syncs again?

This happens in a lot of vehicles. That is because the bluetooth connection is too slow unfortunately.

Use the aux and you wont have lag anymore.

I had a 2015 chevy silverado that had no bluetooth lag. Every other vehicle I have driven has it. There is no way around it unfortunately as its a limiation of the vehicles bluetooth connection.

however for op you can plug in via AUX and you wont have lag anymore.

What have you done to troubleshoot on your own?

this is not something to troubleshoot, its a limitation of bluetooth. If he plugs in via aux it will be in sync.

    not enough.
It's normal-ish. Normal because wireless bluetooth technically has a delay. If you watch netflix or youtube with wireless headphones, what iOS and Android do is they delay the video just enough to sync the AV. Depends on the bluetooth system in use.

In short, delay is not unheard of and is a limitation of technology. There are systems that remedy it in clever ways. Entune is not one of those systems unfortunately. Best to just plug your AUX in for no wireless delays. :/

    Hey Everyone,
This Bluetooth latency is not supposed to be there so don’t listen to anyone that says that. It hasn’t been fixed because not enough people have called Toyota to complain! I have a 2012 Camry and there is no lag at all and my wife’s 2018 RAV4 has this 4 second lag or delay. I’ve talked to Toyota 12 times and they keep saying they’re aware and working on it but it doesn’t take years for a simple software fix. One Toyota technician told me they haven’t made it a priority because not many people have complained. Unless you complain they will do nothing

Those saying others are wrong and BT has limitations, I believe the correct statement is that Entune or Toyota or something else other than BT has limitations.

The Ford Sync radio plays audio and video perfectly synced over its BT connection.

Different equipment. Not all bluetooth equipment is the same.
My silverado (16) also had in sync bluetooth.
My 2 hondas 2018/2019, ram 2015, and toyota 17 are not in sync.

If your equipment is not in sync currently, it will never be in sync in its current setup, unless you change out the radio.

If you use an auxillary cable in will be in sync however.

My JVC unit (also makes Kenwood) was good at keeping audio in sync. The Entune in my 4Runner is way off :(
