I haven't had an issue with it. It's just odd that it's the size it is, given the size of the vehicle. The mall cabin size has been a complaint with these for ages.

The Taco is a large vehicle, but it's almost got the cabin space of a sub-compact.

Same issues for me haha. I'm 6 5. Wish the wheel would come out another 1.5 inches

FWIW I'm 6'3" and 205lbs, relatively normal proportions relating to torso and legs.

I've owned two 3rd gen Tacoma's: a cloth SR5 and a leather TRDOR. Both were not super comfortable for me, the firmer leather was better. I like my seat bottom in any vehicle to raise WAY up in the front and dip down towards the back. This seems to give my knees and legs the best support and comfort. I could not achieve this in the Tacoma. I'm back in a full size Titan where I belong. It has a power drivers seat and power adjustable pedals as well.

OP - Thanks for the video! As a couple others posted, did you happen to see if it had memory for the powered seats?

Since my wife and I share the Taco, adjusting the manual seats is preferable over a slow-a$$ powered seat that has no memory function (a problem we had in our previous SUV).

I really don't like power seats, heated seats/steering wheel etc. Electrical crap can always give you problems down the road. I love the simplicity of the Tacoma in general and the true fact that its customizable to your liking. We can see how people are clever enough to make something happen for the comfort of others, plus the support that we all give vendors to make them as well (Olecool, Mesojdm among others.) I don't mind if some model Tacoma have these features like the Limited, but for all to have them? Is where I don't agree.
*I've had problems with company cars that the power seat failed to work and you are stuck in one position. What is it with people not wanting to move a seat manually? Is it that hard? Set it up where you want it and you are done. I really don't get it...

Did he say he is 5'6" and hitting his head?
I bet 3" lift will fix the problem or 250lb ass will make a chore to climb...

From the look of it, the starting height is where we are at know. It is not going to help tall folks, esp with the sunroof.

Myself, I'm 6ft with a short 31in inseam. It is all natural new, except for tight spots. There, it is a bit of contortion esp because I don't want to ding other folks' doors.

I’m 5’ 8” but slim at 160 lbs. I have no issues getting in and out but do have a problem with the seat position. I bought spacers recently that raised the back of the seat to a more standard position to address the issue. Still not great but much better than it was before.

I will however agree with you that maybe the rake and overall shape of the truck maybe could be readdressed and improved from a design standpoint. The basic configuration does not exactly give the driver the best view of the immediate area surrounding the truck. At least in my experience, ymmv...

Yep my mileage does vary.... I have always perceived my Tacomas as having excellent visibility especially so if you remove or at least lower the rear seat head rests. Want poor visibility, drive an FJ Cruiser. Similar to driving like Helen Keller.

I am just over 6ft, 6’5” with my Afro, I weigh in around 240 pounds, but that is mostly muscle and penis. More penis, if I am being truthful.

Speaking of penis, I hate to be a dick here, but don’t see why the need for height and weight descriptions. This is Tacoma world, not a dating site. Who gives a flip if you like long walks in the park (I do) or cuddling by a fire (i’m in). Some people like power seats (not this guy) and some like Thai food(not my thing). We all agree on tacomas, and this is what will make the world a better place.

6'2", 190 pounds. No issues except, as others have mentioned, it would be nice if the steering wheel came out a bit more. Haven't moved my seat since I drove off the dealers lot.

Maybe because different sizes and shapes contribute seating position and corresponding visibility and comfort issues? :notsure:

I get that, and my response was half serious and half tongue in cheek. Body size is different for everyone, and even 2 men same age and height can vary wildly. Shoulda kept my mouth shut, but my old curmudgeon self just couldn’t do that.

At 5'3" and slim I find the cabin to be very small but seating position is near perfect. I am amazed how people taller than me have no issues with room. It is a very tight cabin.

I think another thing that contributes greatly how one perceives visibility is whatever you were driving prior. I came off a 2008 Tundra that I bought brand new that year. Compared to my Tundra driving this is like peeking through a hole in a box.

There's a lot of dudes claiming to be over 6 foot in here, maybe someone should tell Carol she only dates men that are over 6 foot and one of less stature gets hit with bug spray.

If it's not broke don't fix it. Anything short of a complete cab redesign. I don't believe Toyota can do much to accommodate Tacoma drivers, who can not find a comfortable seating position.
