I wouldnt. That bar is Taking the majority of the force. If you remove it the sheet will deform around the cross bar and keep stretching the sheet

Im planning for about $700 in gas to get to Oregon from Virginia.

2900 miles, truck gets 200 miles to a tank, tank of gas is about $40 = ~$600. Plus if i want to go to a campsite that is not on a main road.

What if you met the seller in Colorado? :anonymous:

He is talking about having the bar go to the trim. As it sits now, there is a small gap because the trim and the floor are not flush

Correct. If you remover that you'll end up with a serious crease in the sheet metal

I used to do hotshot runs for UShip. Used to transport things all over the country. Its usually cheaper due to the equipment and with it in pickup or box trailer no DOT check point.

I wish I could take time off for a road trip. The guy selling the tent is a rep for James Baroud too, and he must ship these all the times. I just didn't know it would cost that much. Last time I bought a RTT, the shipping was around $300.

Up to you. As it is, it isn't hurting anything, is structurally sounds, and I don't think anyone will be judging you on the bottom side of your RTT haha

This is very close to Switzer Lake, near Flagpole Knob in Harrisonburg VA.

I see you're fairly close to me. We should hit some trails/camp ! I try to get out almost every weekend

That one pictured was very easy. Just a dirt road.

Flagpole Knob can be done stock. There are a couple other local places that I go that also can be done stock. Like Green Ridge State Forest is western Maryland.

I think Sleepy Creek WV might be difficult stock, but might be able to be done. Or at least with passes around the harder stuff.
