Grace note update

When I click the link to download the update I get a black glitch screen. Has anyone successfully updated their Gracenote data base and maps through their official website. Or is this a dealership only update kinda thing?

Doesn't appear to be intended to be used without login credentials. Where did you find that link or what referred you to it?

 

Its one of the links on Gracenotes website. I clicked the second link and it is allowing me to download it. Seems like a process to update maps ugh ..

 

Its simply a permissions issue. If you ask whomever provided link to reconfigure, that should solve the problem

 

Also, because it's AWS, there's a good chance you have to do some configurations to your hardware to make sure you can even access it. If you are at an office building, specific computers need to be routed to have access to servers and things of that nature. If your device doesn't have this setup, you will be blocked in some areas

Best of luck with that one. If you get stumped, you could always call IT....but they'd probably just ask if you turned it off and on again

 

I didn't see a supported way to update a Toyota on the grace note website - they refer you to Toyota Entune. I'd be curious as to where specifically you found that link on their website.

In Canada it has to be updated at the Dealership /: I am not sure about the States.

 

I'm from Canada too... You had your Gracenote updated at the dealership?

 

I asked about it the Toyota dealership said they would only update it with the SD maps card too (which i think is Bullshit). The SD card is like $200.00 and I dont think we should have to pay for this Gracenote update as they can do that online for free in the USA (the consumer not the dealership). If you hear any alternatives please let me know! I am in Manitoba
