Yes you are correct, but the impact "a penny" as Jeff just said isnt that much. That money isnt headed elsewhere...its invested right back in the program to try and make sure a loss doesnt happen again.

Correct without the football program there wouldn't be any of the money that is generated because of the football team. You keep going back to the University of Alabama I'm talking about all in State football programs why would you want an out-of-state team to win over an in-state team? There is no way an out-of state team winning over an in-state team generates the state of Alabama more money. That is the point I am trying to make.

I never said it did generate MORE money. Just that the impact is so minimal that you'll never notice it. Hence why I kept saying go back to the losing season and tell me if you noticed an economic turmoil when Alabama teams lost. You didnt.

It really wouldn't to me though. Because I dont give a rip about the money the sports programs bring in. They're all money grabs to line rich people's pockets even more. They do not treat the athletes as they should and they do not give enough back to the community and the state as a whole as they should with THAT MUCH freaking money they have.

I'm not talking about the past nor the future I'm talking about right now. If there is a penny lost then it does affect everyone. All money is earned in the state of Alabama a penny at a time. Hoping an out-of-state team wins will never generate as much money. The state will live no matter what

Know your beginning point was you're an LSU fan and you hope LSU wins over any in State team. That does not generate more money for the state of Alabama

Nor for the program of Alabama, which is a benefit to me. The amount the entire state misses out on is so minimal I dont notice it. Therefore, no effect.

You can't possibly think that if the football programs in the state of Alabama all ended today it wouldn't have an effect on the entire State including you?

Okay so if Alabama football stop today what would happened to all the busines
okay so if Alabama football program shut down today it will not have any effect on the state of Alabama nor the business that relied on it? I guess Bama fever in the malls can make I living selling LSU merchandise

But that's not even remotely comparable. Same logic sure, but different situations entirely.

The stores already sell other merchandise and they can do that still. They dont make their entire living off bama gear.
