That’s what I thought. I was looking into the dometic CF40 not the CFX.

    Hmmm arb...

@Powder taco did you get your fridge in yet?

I was reading up on the dometic specs and the height is 18.5...that would mean it would sit flush against the roll up tonneau?

I have not got it yet. I was doing a group buy through Pelfreybilt and they are going through issues at the moment, still waiting it out. The 18.5 is at the support bar, if I need to I can easily remove the one bar and have 1/2” more clearance.

FECKK!!! You're involved in that fiasco! Hope it all gets resolved. I was looking into the CFX40 as I found one for 630 new.

Yeah you will have enough clearance for sure. Yeah, I hope everything turns out good for them and they get it all resolved.

I'm finally trying install the RCI rack with the Access Literider and am at a wall. Two questions for anyone:

    1) How would one lower the rail channel to fit below the bottom of the tonneau cover rails? The OP shows his this way.

    2) Who sells the brackets to connect the tonneau cover rails to the then lowered bed rail channel? They almost look like L-brackets.

I don't like the idea of drilling new holes into the side of the bed to mount a lower rail channel.

The access vanish comes that way, I just had to cut notches out to fit the legs of the RCI rack.

Maybe this provides better illustration of the problem i'm having. the deck rail in the OP appears lower in the OP than the factory location.

Oh, 2nd gen Tacoma’s have a higher bed rail? Your brackets for the tonneau cover are a bit different as well I see.

What if you ground down the spacers the amount of thickness that the RCI rack is and just fill in the gaps between with weather stripping? That may work.

What RCI bed rack do you have? I just bought the "05-19 Tacoma Bed Rack" and am having trouble rolling up the tonneau (the end plate is hitting the rack). Not sure if there is any more adjustment I need to do on the rails or if maybe this rack's bar angle is slightly different.

No, I had to roll it up at an angle. It’s a bit of a pain at times but you get over it after awhile, at least I did.

You, sir, may just be my hero. That looks awesome and still functional. I currently have a soft trifold on mine. Just ordered my RCI and my only hesitation was that i didn’t really want to give up my tonneau because I keep some things in the bed. Would this still work with a short bed and the short bed rack? Not sure if the different rack mount locations would interfere or not. Also, would you be able to post a pic up close where the cover meets the rack? Thanks for the info on here.

Funny thing, I had a short bed rack on a long bed.

I’m just curious if the brackets for the cover on a short bed will miss where the bed rack mounts on the rail.

I guess it depends on the cover. I had to hack mine up to make it work good.

I want to try the North Mountain Soft Vinyl Roll Up on my 3rd gen DCSB. I'll let you all know what happens. It looks like it's close enough that it should be a similar install.
